protection and a SPF (Sun Protection Factor) providing excellent protection against UVB and UVA rays. It contains a UV finish that generally achieves a UPF rating of 40+. This means that 97.5% of the UV rays are absorbed by the fabric and not the skin.
This fabric also has a Hydrophillic ("water loving") treatment which results in it "replicating" the characteristics of natural fibers by releasing moisture as quickly as it absorbs it. It likewise "spreads" moisture or perspiration over a larger area, further facilitating its quick-dry benefits.
Interestingly, the finish of this fabric is "shade dependant" - which means lighter shades dissipate moisture at a faster rate. It is a tough fabric but easy to care for and looks really good!
