The Supply Company manufactures a full range of outdoor clothes and accessories and is a proud supplier to many South African safari operators and lodges. We maintain a policy of being proudly South African, and in keeping with this, we have all our garments manufactured locally. We have been instrumental in the local job creation by establishing CMT (cut, make and trim) factories in Durban, Kwazulu Natal as well as in Nelspruit, Mpumalanga. Ownership of the factories has recently been transferred to previously disadvantaged people.
We have always supported a conservation initiative in Southern Africa and this year The Supply Co will concentrate its conservation efforts on supporting The Jane Goodall Institute’s Chimpanzee Eden in Nelspruit, South Africa. It is a sanctuary in which chimpanzees, which have been orphaned or abused by people, are rehabilitated into their natural habitat. The sanctuary depends on income generated by tourists as well as contributions from concerned individuals and companies.
The Supply Company has adopted one of the chimpanzees named Sally. The funds generated via the adoption will be used to rescue other chimps and ensure continued research into improving methods of reintroducing chimps their natural habitat and protecting them in the areas in which they occur.
